Belmont Debate ’08

Just doing my part to bring you the latest in citizen journalism. As most of you know, we live close to Belmont University, site of the second Presidential debate. So, I went down and checked out some of the pre-debate festivities after work today. Up above, you can see just some of the important political figures that I met. I was going to go back and get some post-debate shots too…but it’s raining and I’m sleepy.
There were lots of people and signs. But not a lot of convincing going on.
The Obama campaign bussed in hundreds of kids from the University of Tennessee to make it look like Tennesseans will vote for him. But rest assured, we are a red state.
Protesters are not always the most rational people in the world.
These guys are the best. We stopped and talked with them for a bit. Check out their website and lend them your support.
These guys are pretty funny. They have a website too.
Yeah, it seems like a lot of people brought whatever-the-heck signs they had laying around. Some of them were not the most germane to the event at hand.

Presidential Debate #2: Right Across the Street

We’re pretty excited about Tuesday’s Presidential debate at Belmont University. We were hoping to get some good pictures today, but they already have the area blocked off. We’re expecting some snipers to be stationed on our roof on Tuesday night…
