(this is for Jeff who always thinks I put up embarrassing pictures of him)
I saw this awesome idea on my friend Kristi’s blog and thought it would be fun (I couldn’t stop laughing at all her memories) So if you would be so kind, please leave a memory you have of me. (try and be nice)
1. Add a comment on my blog. Leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn’t matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It’s actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I’ll assume you’re playing the game and I’ll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don’t want to play on your blog, or if you don’t have a blog, I’ll leave my memory of you in my comments.

My memories of Chemenn usually involve both of us laughing at each other about silly things that no one else thought was funny. A few of my faves: having Jeff and Chemenn over for dinner and playing Cranium; watching Chemenn being sung to at the office for Valentine’s Day; talking to Chemenn at work about the latest drama in our lives and competing for the worst issue of the day at times.

I am amazed (and a little embarassed) by your good memory! What can I say…young love!
The things that first came to mind for me are kind of silly! For some odd reason, I remember the light in the family room upstairs that kind of arched over your couch. Didn’t it kind of swivel back and forth? (Don’t ask me why I remember that) And do you remember the church video the Beehives made for mutual one night? It was called “the Three Mor-migos.” Weren’t you in that? The last thing I remember about you is your contagious laugh. You have the cutest laugh!
p.s. If either you or Alisha want to email me her email, I would be happy to send her an invitation to my blog. (It is only fair, since I have found her link from yours and taken a peek at her cute family!)

Wow, many many many memories. After all I am your sister. Where do I begin. One memory is kinda recent and it still makes me laugh. K.. Here I go.
We were at some apartments in Provo watching Jim’s band perform a couple of years ago. You and your roommate, Haylie were dancing and being very hyper. Which was normal behavior for you guys. I was there with Jason and I was watching the crowd. I noticed a cute guy sitting there, very quietly, with our cousin Clint. I remember looking at his face and he was watching you and Haylie freaking out and diving for Jim’s drumsticks that he threw to the crowd. I thought it was so funny cause he was looking at you like, you were so hot, but what a freak! Who would have that you would have married the guy! So really that was also my first memory of Jeff. 🙂

Memories, like when you insisted on dressing me up like a girl. Or when you tried piercing my ears while I was asleep. (I still have the scars)
Yes, the memories of my loving sister.
Funny enough, those are the reasons why I love you. Kind of…:-)
As for Jeff, I remember one of the few things he said to me as we got to know each other. There wasn’t a lot of dialogue between us, but the most memorable was when he said, “so it looks like I’m going to be paying for your sister’s insurance”
That was his way of letting me know that you two were ingaged. It took me forever to figure out what he meant by that.

I remember when you were in High School and you had the main part in the school play, Steel Magnolias. I brought my roommates to the play and I was watching thinking how incredible you were. You made me cry in the last scene. Such an intense moment! You were always quite the actress. Also, I remember I was trying to grow out my bangs so I had them pinned over to the side cause they were to long to wear. After the play you looked at my hair and told me that you didn’t like it. Brutal honesty!! My bangs were pretty bad, but leave it up to you to let me know just how bad it was. 😉

I remember one of the first times I met you Ethan invited me to watched “The Ring” with you and some people at Belmont. I also remember when Jim’s band was playing and Jeff was there. I remember when You, Haylie, Ethan and I went 4 wheeling. Your wedding and how beautiful you looked that day. I remember your baby shower in Utah and we measured our bellies to see who was bigger. (I won!) I remember the first time I saw you holding Lincoln and how happy you looked.

I remember when we were young, I invited you and Ethan to my Birthday party and my mom piled like 12 kids in the back of our little “Sitation” (it’s a car.) Don’t know if I spelled it right. Anyway, I remember you and Ethan were fighting over who got to sit where and you started crying. Anyway, we went to the park on Segolilly that had that old slide that was made up of like orange rolling pins. I’m sure there were numerous injuries that is why there are no longer any slides like that. What were they thinking??
I also remember trying out for a play with you in Draper. I can’t remember which one, but I believe we had to sing the national anthem? I also remember going home for lunch sometimes with you in HighSchool.I remember getting a bagel with cream cheese alot with you from the little snack shop in the cafeteria area. Give me time and I will think of some more, I’m kind of in a hurry to pack for a family reunion. When I get more time, I will be back with more memories. Of coarse, there is always dance. OH… Remember you and I sung one of the church songs from I think the old testament sound track for a talent show in the ward? I do remember your sectional couch. It was Ginormous. I always thought it was way cool. Oh, I do remember the painting your mom did that was by your entry way. Very talented. Ok, I really gotta go, but I will try to think of more. I do remember that your laugh, like Kristi said, is contagious and that you are and have always been very beautiful. You were always nice too. 🙂

Kristie- I miss those times so much! I remember when we came over to your house a few times and we didn’t want to wait in line at Cold Stone so we all got a ton of ice cream and ate it all! I remember when I first started working there, we had to go to a meeting across campus and it was pouring. I didn’t have an umbrella and so I took it upon myself to just come under yours! Ha! Who knew I could be so aggressive? Thus starting our friendship!

Kristi- I don’t remember if I was in that skit or not, I remember it though! I remember a lot of memories with the Young Women and Claudia!
Our house was soooooo seventies! Totally retro. My dad made alost everything in it. Including that lamp! I always pretended I was getting my hair done underneath it, cause it looked like a hairdryer you would see at the salon.

Alysha- I really hope you post this on your blog too, cause I have some really good ones about you!!
Good thing Jeff gave me the benifit of the doubt that day.

Wow… I love what I’ve read so far. Brings back so many memories.
I remember when you had braces and you had to crank that thing in your mouth and I thought it sounded horribly painful. I remember sitting in your room, filled with indian and cheetah stuff, just talking (for some reason, I’m specifically remembering something about Natalie Newman reading my journal and being in some fight with her and Tara. One of many times, I’m sure LOL). I remember playing in your basement and one time we accidentally closed your hidabed couch on Ethan (or was it Brigon? One of them. It was scary.) We used to sing Scarborough Fair together all the time. I remember hanging out with Jason and Travis with you… and you getting on my case one morning on our way to Crescent View b/c I didn’t tell you that Jason had kissed me and we were “going out” (so gross). We also went through some rebellious stages together… I’ll leave that to everyone’s imaginations, though. 🙂

Shannon- I must have really acted like a fool that day at Jim’s concert. That seems to be a popular one.

I remember when I tried to spell your name for the first time when Clint gave me you number. I was putting it into my speed dial and I think I spell it “Shemn.”
I remember when you tricked me into meeting your parents on our first date.
I remember our first meal together as a married couple – Hamburger and fries from Arctic circle – right after the temple. You were still in your dress and I was still in my tux.
I remember when I bit your finger during the wedding reception. Sorry about that.

Well I hope I can come up with some good ones. Pregnant brain isn’t helping my situation either. Hmmmm. The first thing I can think of is the time we drove past Blair’s house and you pulled over, and I decided to put the car in park and grab the keys and start honking. I think you were so mad at me for that one.
Next would be all of the music we’d listen to driving around and acting like Atlantis Morisette. You know the one.
Oh, this one I’ll put in code. Remember when we were NOT 16 and my dad had his car at home….
Then there were all of the times we’d sit on the roof of my house. I’d never let MY kids do that!
Next would be the pork and beans stunt we pulled on Pete’s girlfriend. Classic!
I should just classify all of our “pranks” in one category since we really don’t want to go to jail anytime soon.
Remember the time in Middle School when we thought we’d be cool and skip school and go over to Indian Hills. We ended up sitting in the bathroom to scared to leave because we thought someone would catch us. Wow, we were so rebelious!
Then there were so many times when we’d tell Lindsay we were going to go sit in her car because we didn’t want to go to class, and she believed us! We must have put so many miles on her car. Ahh, and that silly little ticket you got driving her car 🙂
The bike rack at the church that we’d prop up and get on the church roof. That was all YOUR idea!
Every time we had a sleep over, we’d sneak out and lay in the road. And several times we got cought by the police at 2am.
Going down to circleK to get coffee to try and stay awake all night. Then we’d get home and put in a movie and I’d be sleeping 30 minutes later and you’d be up all night not being able to sleep. (I’m laughing really hard right now at that one)
I’m going to have to think of some more. I’m sure there are so many I could write a book. I mean, we do have to account for all of the times we got grounded. Seriously, we spent half of our lives grounded.

Did you and Jeff seriously meet at that show at the apartment complex? (I’m embarrassed that I was ever in that band!)
I remember wrestling you at your parents house and we toppled over and hit that urn, it smacked into the wall and put a little hole in it and broke the top of the urn. Good times.
Whats a Grecian Urn you ask? Not enough to fix a hole in your dads wall!!! 🙂

Mandy- Yeah, I was kind of a sensitive kid. I’m glad to say that I don’t cry now if I don’t get the seat I want, just when it’s Ethan. Seriously…such a punk! That couch was so fun. We made so many forts with that thing. I don’t think i’ve ever seen one that big still to this day.

So most of my memories of you are when we would do your hair. Those were the few times it was just us. I loved it, just talking about everything.
But my number one memory that I probably think about everytime I think of you is your wedding. I came to your reception right after I got set apart as a missionary. I was wearing a pink sweater and a black skirt. I can still see the Christmas trees with the huge balls on them at the country club. I always think of hugging you. It was such an emotional night for me to begin with. I can remember how tall the collar of your dress was and the lace as I hugged you. Your mom was behind you watching us. I started to cry and she just looked up at your dad and smiled. I don’t know why I have never forgotten that, it is just one of those moments that I always replay in my mind. I guess I realized I didn’t know when I would ever see you again. I was so happy for you, but a little sad to “lose” you. I still haven’t seen you since then. I’m so glad I found your blog.

So I just read all the comments, Andy and I went straight to Artic Circle after we got married too. Between the ceremony and the luncheon we had fries and fry sauce and ice cream cones. I had napkins all over the front of my dress just in case. Glad to know we aren’t the only ones.

Ok Melissa, I’ve got some for you. I remember first seeing you in science class in middle school and how shy I thought you were. Which actually you were. I remember when I remember always walking to meet eachother half way when we went to eachother’s house EVERYDAY! I remember gettig grounded alot too. We did some pretty dumb stuff. But we would only get grounded for a day so we kept on doing stupid stuff. I remember driving by Nate’s house and you getting really mad at me cause I started honking the horn. I remember all of our music phases. From Michael Jackson, to Alanis Morsette and everything in between. I remember we always took pictures of eachother trying to look pretty, and we made ourselves look older than we are now. I remember thinking you had the best legs I had EVER seen! I could get alot more detailed, but I don’t think we want to embarass ourselves too much.

Hey Ethan- I do remember most of those things.
I do remember the Jack Daniels song at the cabin. I though dad was going to kill us for laughing so much because he and Brigon were downstairs trying to sleep. I don’t remember swearing like that though. Let’s see-
-I remember building amazing lego cities with you when we were younger and mom and dad always acted so impressed. We were sure they were the best.
– I remember sharing a room when we were younger and you would snore. I would try and teach you how to sleep quietly but it never worked.
– I remember getting so mad that dad paid you 2 dollars to mow the lawn. I wanted to do it so bad! He let me try once and I couldn’t even push the mower. (Thank goodness for automatic ones now)
– I remember seeing if we could read each others minds because we had heard that twins could do that.
– I remember how protective we were of each other and still are.
– I remember telling you ghost stories and scaring the crap out of you. Wait…maybe that was Brigon.
I could really keep going, but you covered a lot of good ones too.
